    Topic:       The ABC’s of Brain Injury

    Objectives:

l      Provide the participant with a basic understanding of acquired brain and traumatic brain injury.

l      Name two types, causes and effects of brain injury.

l      Classify the difference in acute rehabilitation and post-acute rehabilitation treatment.

l      Identify specialists using a team approach to treat brain injury rehabilitation effectively

Debra is a licensed clinical social worker. She received her BS in Psychology from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA and her MSW from Indiana University. She is currently employed at Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana as the Supervisor of Case Management. Prior to employment at RHI, she was the Program Manager and Clinical Social Worker at Methodist Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation. She has been a board member of the Brain Injury Association of Indiana for 10 years.
