    Speaker:   George Slater and Nancy Slater, Elder Law Attorneys

    Topic:       Strategies to Follow to Facilitate Advance Directives

"Advance Directives" is a general term for different legally recognized documents or procedures that citizens of Indiana have the right to complete, informing caregivers how they want their medical care handled if they are unable to communicate.  The Slater’s will define Advance Directives and identify areas of health care services for which they are intended.  They will describe the functions of case law and the enforcement of Advance Directives.

 

George Slater is Principal of Slater and Associates, holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University , a law degree from Indiana University and is also a licensed C.P.A..  He has practiced law for 27 years, and has limited his practice to Elder Law for the past 16 years.  Nancy Slater was a practicing physician for 28 years before joining her husband’s Elder Law practice full time.  She earned her law degree from Indiana University in 1998.
