    Speaker:   Vickie Knight, RN, BS, CCM, Vice President Case
                             Management Community Health Network

    Topic:      RAC and Its Impact on Acute and Post Acute Providers

Vickie Knight will discuss the focus areas of Center for Medicare & Medicaid /Recovery Audit Contractor (CMS/RAC) and why the RACs are targeting hospital short stay and observation status patients.  She will present how CMS and the Office of Inspector General (OIG) focus on acute hospitals impact on post acute care providers and will identify resources and coalitions, which provide tools and information to address post acute transfers and other CMS/OIG target areas.

 Vickie Knight brings extensive experience in the case management field including several key leadership positions in hospital case management, managed care, and consulting.  Vickie was one of the founding members of Central Indiana CMSA and served as a commissioner on The Commission for Case Management Certification.  She is active in several other professional organizations including ACMA, and has been a featured speaker at numerous national conferences.  Vickie received her ASN at the University of Indianapolis and her Bachelor of Science in Health Management from the College of St. Francis.  Currently, she serves as the Vice President of Case Management for the Community Health Network in Indianapolis.
