     Topic:  Change and Why We Must Learn To Handle It

It is often said that the only things in life that are inevitable are death and taxes. Well, you can add a third item to the things that are inevitable, and that is change. And change is happening faster than at any time in human history. To deal effectively with change you cannot let it frustrate or upset you. You cannot attempt to minimize or avoid change. Instead, you have to learn how to deal with change, and use it to your advantage.

Brad will discuss:

  • Why is change necessary?
  • How must we change?
  • Who should be involved in leading change?
  • What steps should be taken to accomplish change?
  • How should these steps be taken?

 

Change management is about people. It will help you quickly "unfreeze" old attitudes, values and beliefs and "refreeze" new attitudes, values and beliefs.

Brad
has been part of the team at Miller’s Health Systems for over twenty years, formerly serving as VP of Financial Services.  Three years ago, he became the
VP of Resource Development, a newly created position allowing him to specialize in training, recruiting, and leadership development.  In this position, Brad has succeeded in getting internet-based learning in place in all of Miller’s facilities.  He has pioneered the first ever on-site nursing education program with a major university—Ball State University, and is developing an online career development skills training program.  He consults on internal and external
