    Topic:       Understanding Social Security Disability Insurance

Heidi Dee will discuss the history and design of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and the difference between SSDI and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).  Heidi will present the criteria established by the Social Security Administration and the benefits of filing for SSDI, the application, and appeals process and the time lines associated with each.
