     Speaker Name: Carrie Copeland, Director of Business Development,
                                  Hospital Services, DaVita, Inc

     Topic:  Challenges in Dialysis Placement

Carrie will discuss the issues of discharging patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD) from the inpatient setting to the outpatient setting.  There are many barriers for this complicated patient group.  There may be five or more co-morbidities and complicated insurance issues create long length of stay and readmissions.  

Carrie has a B.A. in Business Administration from California State University Northridge. She has spent over ten years working in healthcare with six of those years in renal dialysis.  Carrie is a Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
