Topic:  Assisting Angry Patients and Families 

Speaker Name: LuAnn Chamberlin, EMT, RMA, CAHI, Auth AHA Heart Instructor, President & Owner CPRx, Inc., a training company.   

LuAnn will define anger by giving a list of various definitions that will help to identify the anger experienced by the patient and their family.  She will use a variety of teaching tools that will include group discussions, a case study, and a scenario regarding the correct use the CARP system to deal with angry patients.

 LuAnn has over 30 years of experience in the medical field, primarily in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Oral Surgery. She has over 10 years experience as an adult educator. Educational accomplishments include: a degree in Theology with a Minor in Missions, a Medical Assisting degree, and a certificate in Emergency Medical Technology. Her credentials include: Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Allied Health Instructor, EMT, authorized American Heart Association and Red Cross Instructor. She is also a member of the Medical Advisory Board for Harrison College, formerly known as Indiana Business College.
